AM Introduces New DPTE®-FLEX Getinge Outward Opening Door

AM, Getinge's exclusive representative, the market leader in the production of rapid transfer doors (RTP) for isolators and RABS, is about to introduce the first units of the new externally opening door to the market. DPTE®-FLEX is a door that opens manually from outside the isolator without, therefore, requiring the use of a glove. This feature makes it particularly suitable for use on isolators where a reduction in the number of gloves is desired or on traditional isolators but for specific, the most critical applications, such as cap transfer. In this case, in fact, the use of a traditional door with internal opening would require maneuvers performed with the glove that could interfere with the laminar flow of air above the caps themselves and the machine parts that contain them, breaking the first air rule. The Alpha FLEX door can be combined with the wide range of DPTE® beta solutions already available: bags of different sizes and materials, stainless steel or polyethylene containers, or an emergency glove. The 'integrity of the door seal can be verified with the DPTE® TLT (transfer leak tester) equipment. With 60,000 repeated opening-closing cycles on multiple units that constituted the mechanical validation of the system, the new door is able to guarantee the most stringent requirements for continuity in production. In addition, the robust microbiological validation and different interlocking mechanisms that characterize all DPTE® systems make this door an extremely safe system for transferring components, instruments, devices, objects and machine parts in and out of the production isolator.

If you are designing a new isolator, if you want to replace an inward-opening Alpha door with an outward-opening door, or if you are not satisfied with the RTP system you currently have, whatever the application, the DPTE® ecosystem with its state-of-the-art solutions are waiting for you.
